Grade-wise Focus

Grade 8

The syllabus focuses on strengthening basic concepts and improving language skills. Students are introduced to more structured topics in science and mathematics while developing analytical thinking.

Grade 9

This stage deepens subject knowledge with more detailed and application-based learning. Students begin to understand real-life applications of concepts and prepare for the academic rigor of class 10.

Grade 10

This is a crucial academic year where students prepare for public board examinations. Special focus is given to revision, model question papers, preparatory examinations, and result-oriented coaching to help students perform well in board examinations.

Assessments & Meetings

The assessment system followed by KSEEB is designed to evaluate students' academic performance, conceptual understanding, skills, and overall progress throughout the academic year. Assessments include:

  • Four Formative assessments (FA)
  • Two Summative assessments (SA)
 

Parent Teacher Meeting (PTM)

A parent-Teacher meeting is a collaborative session between educators and parents to discuss a student's academic progress, social-emotional development, and behaviors. In our school, we organize PTMs after every assessment.

Cultural Activities

Conducted to promote student's talents and awareness of traditions and culture. Events such as Special assembly, Annual cultural fest (Drama, dance, music), and festival celebrations help students showcase their talents and build confidence.

Sports Activities

Physical activities are an important part of school life. Sports help students develop teamwork, discipline, and physical fitness.

Self-Defense Training

Designed to empower students with skills and confidence to protect themselves. The program focuses on physical fitness, confidence building, and personal safety awareness. Students are trained in basic techniques such as holds, blocking, balance, control, and quick response.

Art and Craft

Encourages creativity and imagination. Drawing, painting, craft work, and model making activities are conducted to develop students' artistic skills.

Science Exhibition

Activities such as experiments, exhibitions, project work, and model presentations help students develop scientific thinking, creativity, and practical knowledge.

Yoga and Meditation

Sessions are conducted regularly to improve students' concentration, mental health, and physical fitness.

Educational Trips

Educational tours, field visits, and industrial visits are organized to provide practical exposure and real-life learning experiences beyond the classroom.

Social Awareness

Programs like Environment Day, World Ozone Day, Constitution Day, Independence Day, Republic Day, and Kannada Rajyotsava help students understand their responsibilities towards society, the environment, and the nation.

Competitions

Various activities like Drawing, essay writing, singing, dance, quiz, and sports competitions are conducted to encourage healthy competition and participation.

Workshops

Organized by experienced teachers, trainers, and professionals to provide skill development and real-life learning experiences. These interactive and activity-based sessions allow students to learn through participation, discussion, and hands-on activities.

Remedial Classes

Remedial teaching is a specialized, supportive instruction method designed for students struggling to meet academic standards or facing learning gaps. It provides personalized, intensive support—such as small group work, one-on-one tutoring, or differentiated instruction—to strengthen foundational literacy, numeracy, and study skills, helping students catch up and gain knowledge.
